On the nose, imagine smelling ripe blackberries in a saddle shop. The flavors are of dark plum and licorice, followed by dry tobacco and leather. This is a big, bold wine that has a long, clean finish. It goes well with spicy foods, such a Mexican and Indian, as well as with rich meats.

From the Wine Enthusiast Magazine:  "Very good concentration and a sleek texture make this medium to full-bodied wine from the Sierra Foothills easy to appreciate. It has layers of ripe black fruits, nuances of toasted oak and cedar, and fine-grained tannins that provide good backbone."
