States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to all states except AL, AR, MA, MS, NH, PA, and UT. If Uphill Vineyards is unable to ship directly to your state, we may be able to arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted on this website.
UPS is our carrier of choice. Shipping is provided at current market rates and includes all packaging and handling.
Receiving a Shipment
If the recipient of the wine will not be at home during regular business hours, we highly recommend sending the order to a commercial or business address where the package can be received and signed for. Orders containing alcohol cannot be left on a doorstep, sent to a P.O. Box or left with someone who is visibly intoxicated. If no one is available for delivery, two additional attempts will generally be made. If the package is never received or picked up and returned to us, there will be an additional shipping charge to resend the package.
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. To ensure maximum quality of wine deliveries, shipments may be held during periods of high or low temperatures. If you want your wine shipped faster, you have the option of choosing an expedited service level. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
