Shipping Information

Wine is a perishable commodity and a heavy (expensive) item to ship. Please review the information below to help ensure your wine is received in top condition and at the lowest possible cost.

Where We Ship?

We are only able to ship to states which have laws permitting shipment of wine directly to consumers. We ship through our partner, Amador Wine Shipping. At present, we cannot ship to: AL, AR, MA, MS, NH, NY, and UT.

Some states impose additional restrictions. For example, there may be select zip codes to which we cannot ship. Certain state laws regulate the number of cases of wine that can be shipped annually to a single person and some may require a consumer permit. If your order is affected, we will contact you.

General Shipping Info

Prior to placing your order, please consider the following to ensure that your wine is delivered in a safe and timely manner.

By law, wine may only be sold and delivered to persons who are at least 21 years old, and by law, a signature is required for delivery. By placing your order, you represent that you are at least 21 years old and that the person to whom delivery will be made is at least 21 years old. When your wine is delivered, the person receiving the package may be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years of age. By law, alcohol cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

If possible, we recommend shipping to a business address where the package can be accepted throughout the day. Please note our packages are labeled as containing wine and requiring an adult signature — so you may want to check with your employer first.

If you are shipping a gift, please alert the recipient so they can expect the delivery and understand that they will need to sign for it.

If your purchase is returned to us by the carrier for any reason, you will be billed for shipping the return. We will then contact you to determine if you want the order shipped again or refunded, but, in no case will any shipping charges be refunded. If you choose to ship the product again, you will be charged for the shipment at the full shipping charge. Please be advised that any credits issued may take 30-45 days after verification of the return.

Monitor your order status and tracking each time you order. Please keep in mind that delivery days are generally Monday-Friday, not Saturday and Sunday.

Timing of Delivery and Impact of Weather

Our wines ship from Plymouth, CA. We generally ship out orders early in the week so that your wines will not be sitting dormant over a weekend, as most carriers pick up and deliver only Monday-Friday. Therefore, if you place an order from mid-week through the weekend, your order may be held and processed the following Monday or Tuesday.

We do our best to protect your wine from extremes of weather. We reserve the right to limit delivery options to expedited methods or to delay the release of shipments during times of extreme weather in order to protect the integrity of our wine. We will contact you shortly after your order is placed if we are concerned about weather interfering with the delivery.

Although weather can at times be a factor, the most frequent cause of damaged wine is due to multiple delivery attempts – so please ensure there is an adult over 21 to sign for your order during the first attempt at delivery.
